SAHONEY
Raw and organic Honey and Pollen
At Sahoney, we produce raw organic honey and pollen on the SAJONIA farm in Duitama, Colombia. The company is partnered with Ecoligua whose focus is organic blueberry production located on the same farm. Sahoney pollen and honey are harvested once a year and is managed by biodynamic methods that generate zero impact to the bee’s ecosystem.
Sahoney is a sustainable and responsible company, and its main objectives are: bees’ health, organic production, and general environmental protection. The company believes in eco-friendly farms and products, that improve humans’ life and protect and bolster bee’s ecosystems.
At Sahoney, we care about bees because they are essential for pollination and thus food production. Bees pollinate more than 80% of the fruits and vegetables around the world and they are living beings that deserve respect and protection especially considering the tremendous and irreplaceable value they offer to mankind. We protect our bees with organic flowers and an eco-friendly method that allows them to enjoy not just a healthy and happy life but a thriving one.

About Our Farm
The “Sajonia” farm is located in Duitama, Colombia. The high altitude makes for a temperate climate despite Sajonia’s proximity to the equator line. This position makes for very stable weather conditions throughout the whole year.
This farm was built with dedication, love, and passion by the Guaqueta Carvajal’s family for over 30 years. Throughout that time, we have been developing an organic and sustainable land to produce raw honey, pollen, and organic blueberries each with excellent quality and recognition in the local markets.
Honey
Our Honey is raw and organic honey, derived from three different sources of pollen: the farm’s organic blueberry plantation, acacia tree flowers and a variety of wildflowers from our farm and neighboring village in Duitama, Colombia. Sahoney is a special honey because its light, transparent and a thick viscous appearance with a unique blueberry aroma. Its quality is easily identifiable and it is without any filtration or harmful pasteurization.
Pollen
Our pollen is organic and with all the qualities you can expect from premium pollen. We sell pollen alongside our honey and are proud to be taking the extra time and effort to support our bees’ livelihoods.
Beehives
As an ongoing initiative Sahoney is researching and developing a new sustainable and smart hive design to guarantee the health and longevity of our permanent bee colonies as well as colonies around the world.
